Winners of the Cutest Pets on Capitol Hill Contest!

We are proud to announce the winners of the annual Cutest Pets on Capitol Hill contest. In the spirit of paws-itive politics, this year’s contest saw 230 entries from Congressional offices across the Hill. Top accolades were announced at Pet Night on Capitol Hill by contest judges Representative Kurt Schrader (OR-5) and Representative Ted Yoho (FL-3), both of whom are veterinarians.

“Thank you Animal Health Institute for hosting one of the most fun evenings of the year for my staff and me, and for the important work that you do that helps keep our four-legged friends healthy,” said Rep. Schrader. “While we did have to pick favorites tonight, every pet is certainty a winner in my mind and they make life up here on Capitol Hill a whole lot cuter.”

This year’s winners are:

Cutest Dog: Zoey the Congressdog, owned by Representative Susan Wild (PA-7)

Cutest Cat: Charlotte, owned by Ben Mullany in the office of Representative Denver Riggleman (VA-5)

Cutest Exotic: Senator, owned by Mary Thompson in the office of Senator Jacky Rosen (NV)
